A warm welcome to Melanie

Melanie Brown. Project Manager, Strategy and Impact.

We would like to introduce you to a new member of our team, Ms Melanie Brown. Some of you may remember Melanie, she delivered our very successful Artisan Connect Programme in 2018.

Melanie is our Project Manager for Strategy and Impact.

She will be working on a strategic development and engagement project to help take our organisation to the next level.

It will include:

  • undertaking market and user research (i.e. with consumers and traders) to help highlight what is working well and anything that needs to be improved

  • undertaking impact measurement - across a range of areas - social, economic, environmental

  • engagement with potential future traders (inspiring entrepreneurship among youth/unemployed/students) by building links with local colleges, enterprise programmes and relevant agencies

  • policy manual development to clearly set out all our policies

  • development of a future directions plan setting out our strategy for further enhancement and sustainability

Melanie's post has been funded by the Rank Foundation's 'Time to Shine Programme'. She was specifically recruited on merit of her skills set and work ethic, to address our organisation's needs and, over a 12 month period will help improve our capacity to deliver services in the longer term.
