We were delighted to learn earlier this week that the National Market Trader Federation will be bringing their Young Market Competition to Northern Ireland to hold one of their regional heats. This is an excellent opportunity for any young market trader between the ages of 16 and 30 who has a vibrant market business to participate.

Dear Young Trader,
The NMTF has spent a decade concentrating on attracting new blood into the retail markets industry via the Young Traders Market campaign. The campaign has two objectives, one is to highlight your business at local, regional and national level and the other is to try to establish regular young traders markets in order to improve the number of young entrepreneurs using our regular markets as a means to start, grow and establish their businesses through our great retail markets industry.
The YTM campaign in 2022 celebrates its tenth year and to mark its stature we are expanding our regional markets into ten regions throughout the UK and we are now at logistical point where we can include Northern Ireland. We would like to attract as many traders as we can under one roof and that roof will be at the prestigious St George’s Market in Belfast as Belfast City Council have kindly offered to host the regional final of the 2022 Northern Ireland YTM.
This year in order for us to familiarise the Northern Ireland young traders to the campaign there will not be any local events within Northern Ireland and therefore you will be invited straight to the main regional event:

We are looking for vibrant traders, new businesses, covid start ups and young entrepreneurs to join us. If you are aged between 16-30, we would love to have you join us on August 3rd. Equipment will be provided you will just need to turn up and trade your wares.
